ABOUT US

We are a community of lifelong climate and nature supporters who bear first-hand witness to the fires burning all around us, the destruction of our carbon stores, our burnt and barren landscape, and the pollution of our people.

We bear witness to the UK's most abhorrent and unnecessary destruction of climate, nature, landscape and public health.

ACT NOW!

If you have only 2 minutes, click below to send our email response to the consultation.  You can request your response and contact information is kept confidential but it's helpful to provide a reason, e.g. if you live in an community that lies victim to the fires.  However, you must add your name and postcode to validate your response.  If you have time, find your MP contact details here and copy them in. Please share our campaign leaflet, social media post and our website to expose the truth and encourage others to respond.

If you use webmail and the button is not opening up the email for you, copy and paste our consultation summary response into your own email with the subject header, 'HGB Consultation Response'. Add your name & postcode and email your response to HGBConsultation@defra.gov.uk

If you have 5-10 minutes, create your own email response by copying and pasting our consultation summary response into your own email, then adding your own personal experience and objections to grouse moor management, e.g. you may...

  • live in a community impacted by the fires, toxic smoke and increased flood risk

  • worry about the loss of our vital carbon stores and soils

  • be concerned about river or water pollution

  • be unhappy about the manamade, barren wastelands covering our National Parks

You must add your name & postcode and email your response to HGBConsultation@defra.gov.uk

Are you a member of a climate, nature or recreational organisation or group?  If you’re a member of an organisation such as Greenpeace, RSPB, FoE, Rewilding Britain, The Green Party, Soil Association, Woodland Trust, Ramblers, Campaign for National Parks, Cycling UK etc, get in touch with them today.

Make sure they are responding to the consultation to call for a complete ban to intensive grouse moor management and play their part in liberating 7% of UK lands from deliberate climate, nature and public health destruction.  If they're not intending to respond, ask them to promote our leaflet and encourage their supporters to add their name to our consultation response.

If you have a little more time, read our full consultation response (coming soon) to use as your own response or cut and paste any sections to help create your own response.  You must include your name & post code and email your response to HGBConsultation@defra.gov.uk.

We would dearly like to reach directly impacted communities with our Community Leaflet but we don't have the funds. If you are able to print and deliver or find another way to share our leaflet with impacted communities it will expose the truth, give them a voice and an opportunity to act.

For all responses, please find attached the Government's privacy notice re consultation responses here.
